| When I bought my 2000 SLK 230 the 6CD Changer was just laying in the trunk. The dealer told me that the past owner had taken it out to put in an aftermaket unit and never bothered hooking it back up. As I use an MP3 Player it really wasn't a concern. So today I finally went out and installed the unit back in the car only to find out the real reason that it wasn't installed. The CD cartridge seems to be stuck in the unit and will not eject. Any idea if there is a way to manually eject it, or If I have to remove the complete unit cover to get at it? I'm guessing that when I do get it out I'll find a treasure trove of 6 free-to-me CDs... | i had the same, but just disconnecting it from the car and reconnecting it fixed, this ain't gonna help you sorry. I'd flip off the top and see if you can slide out the fouling object.

| Sorry you will need to strip the unit if stuff is jammed inside it.

| Yeah, that is what I thought, but I was hoping that there was some simple solution like the old "paper clip" method used on some recording media. I guess I'll go out and bring it in to the workbench and dig in and I just hope it still works when I get done. |

| Nah sorry no hidden tips. Just be careful when taking it apart and i find taking pictures often helps as you can look back at them to figure out where parts go if you forget.
