| Hi Dan, I seem to have a problem with my heating unit, for some reason its not working properly. For example 3 weeks ago when it was freezing here in London I used to put my heater on 23 C and the power on 4 and i used to feel hot, now the weather is 14 C in London and i have to put the heater on 26 C and full power just to feel warm. i took the car to MB west hampsted and they told me that there is noting wrong with the heater i explained the situation and brought my cousins E63 and showed them the difference they told me that there is nothing wrong that how the automatic thing i the heater/ac works. i know there is something wrong but i dont know if it could be a sensor or the heating unit? regards, Mohammed Jawa

| Well if we say your engine's operating at the same temperature then the only part that controls the flow of hot water is the duo valve if its not working properly then it wont respond to signals correctly and could be not opening as much as needed. There's really not much else it can be to be honest mate, have you tried using auto with the temp setting you want and see how the car behaves.

| Nah that wont make any difference mate there ain't nothing AMG about the HVAC system its the same as the rest of the SLK's sounds like you have a faulty duo-valve or a blower not working correctly and your having to pump up the heat to compensate. Get the dealer to check all the activations and that will tell them if everything is working correctly if it reports everything is ok there's not much i can suggest you could have them manually check the blower is alright and the same for the duo-valve but to be honest there's not much to go wrong. Maybe just get the heater box and stuff checked for leaks.
