| OK first off erase it so its got a clean memory so press and hold the outer 2 buttons for longer than 20s the light on the unit should flash rapidly for about 10s once it is erased. Then programming it pick what button you want to use and then press and hold it for longer than 20s then quickly aim the current transmitter for your door at the front of the unit thats looking towards it from the front of the car and activate it for about 2/3 minutes then once thats done you will either have a rapid flashing light on the GDO or nothing at all so then activate the unit by pressing the button you have just programmed and your door should operate. There are restrictions on what models it can work but in general any homelink compatible door should work OK with the car. Hope this helps Dan

If it does then the opener to the garage door in your building uses a rolling security code (called intellicode in the US). In which case you need to find out if you can access the "training button" on the garage door opener. To program or sync to an intellicode opener (make sure no person or car will be in the way of the operating/moving garage door): 1. Press the training button on the opener, a training light on the opener will usually be lit or flash. 2. Immediately return to the car (you only have 30 seconds). 3. Press and hold for 2-3 seconds and then release the specific button that you had programmed (in the car). 4. Repeat step 3 (some openers require you repeat step 3 a third time). Some openers will operate as soon as Step 3 is done 2x or 3x (confirming a sucessful sync). Other openers will flash their light. Press the programmed button in the car to confirm operation of the garage door opener. Wait a few minutes, press the programmed button in the car to reconfirm that it will operate the opener a second time. I hope the above helps and works (mainly useful for HomeLink type systems).
