Instead of 'component,' I've heard the term '2 piece rotors.'

Sorta interesting...

I configured a SLK55 on edmunds and this is how they describe the 030 option:

AMG Performance Package
Includes 18" "AMG twin-spoke" design multi-piece alloy wheels, "AMG Compound" brakes, "AMG track-calibrated" suspension, electronic top speed limiter increased to 174 mph, carbon fiber interior trim and leather and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with aluminum transmission gearshift paddles attached.

thanks all, for the insight. i guess it's got awesome brakes and the 030 ones are "more awesome", eh? :-)

now to pick out the right head/nav unit and get going on that project. can't seem to find an installer who doesn't want to either butcher my car, or sell me a $10K audio system with woofers that make the back wheels jump off the ground. maybe time for some DIY!

What do you have at the moment?

It's difficult if you want to swap out speaker's because they are a fancy shape and normal ones don't fit.

right now the car has the stock Audio20 unit. we'd like to get iPod integration, Nav, and slightly better sound. right now i'm leaning towards the clarion MAX685BT/NAX970HD combo, it looks like it should rock. i'm going to do this first, and the tackle the spaker problem if they aren't up to the sound we want.

right now, we're either carrying around CDs, or just putting the top down, and using the 'music pedal', the one connected to that glorious motor!

Fair enough, that's probably cheaper than going for the HK COMAND.
