Yes, but the SLK32 has significantly lower torque which helps explain why it's not as quick as the 55 (the 55 weighs ~ 180 lbs more, but this weight is more than offset by the additional torque the engine develops coupled with the 7 Spd tranny).

me and tom found out 0-60 REALLY close, with the 55 struggling to gain traction on stock tires, the SLK 32 has a fair chance of winning.

0-60 is the most over-rated performance stat out there...geez I'm barely out of 2nd gear! But it's all good - the close races are the best ones!
