Kleemanization in progress, Baby monster is getting beastly! - Page 3

...sorry to intrude, but, as some of you might already know, i ordered mine with black belts (optional, instead of standard red coming with the sport pack in a black on black car), and meantime red has somehow grown on me!

now it's too late for any changes anyways.

had to share this, sorry...

They've gotten them selfs in one big fiasco, I got my money back after a long talk and thats it.

They were trying to convince me that its my liability to pay and get the belts out of their stock as I've ordered it and they cant sell it to other customers, I guess they can now since the 09 sports package has the same belts if a customers car needs a new pair.

I know i work with MB's all day but anybody who has enough skill to change a wheel can do a seatbelt replacement.

I guess what i'm saying is if you do decide you want red belts Mo then i will get you the instructions if you do fancy giving it a shot.

Unfortunately not, the first and the last place to acquire these are through the dealer and I am not looking forward to waste my time with these folks.

Tracking it from time to time, so the headers left paris and arrive in Dubai today at 11:21 AM ,At dest sort facility,DUBAI AE.

I am waiting for it to leave and arrive to Kuwait, so I can take some pictures of the parts and get the work started on the baby monster.

I do hope it clears customs and doesnt require any hassle,

I'll keep you updated as usual.

Okay good news is that the headers finally arrived in Kuwait City, Kuwait at Shuwaikh port which is basically 5 minutes from my home. The headers must be picked up from the port and loaded onto the Fedex truck so that it can be delivered to my house.

Im not sure if I can get to install them today as I will be busy during the day, I might wake up very early tomorrow to drop of the car with the parts if the service supervisor is coming to work at 7 or 8am.

Just spoke to the dealership, 7:30 am tomorrow I've got an arrangement to drop the car so that they will work on it asap ( hopefully ).

The labour and plus new gaskets will cost around 300-350 dollars, so I hope it will be a good and clean install.

Im looking forward for my trip back from the dealership in the couple of days with my Kleemanized SLK.

Looking forward to the results Mohammed! One suggestion for pics, and something I've done in the past with another car, is when you drop off the parts at the service center for install, give them one of those disposable 35mm cameras (the kind you buy in tourist shops) so they can take some pics during the install. Then just get 'em developed and scan 'em in for all of us to see!

Okay, another then would be to tell the workers over there to take pictures from their mobile phones since now a days they are 3 mega pixel and more; At the end of the day they sand send me the pictures via bluetooth.
