Congratulations Alroumi. I really like what you've done so far. Make sure you make another sound clip when it's all done. It should sound awesome.

Sure no problem, I am going to do a video and sound clip 100% even without you telling me.

Here are some exerpts from a discussion I had on another forum about dyno types back when I had mine baselined:

Quote:
Yes, I have used a Dyno Dynamics, Dynapack, Dynojet, and a Mustang Dyno.

The Dyno Dynamics will read lower numbers compared to the others, but it is far superior for tuning purposes. Just like the Mustang Dyno, it is a load based dyno rather than the inertia based of the dynojet and the hub dyno of the dynapack.

The graphs are very detailed, even more so that the Mustang Dyno and you can simulate almost any road condition.
Quote:
Dynonamics are a very good dyno, but it will read 15-20% below a Dynojet. Have always used Dyno Dynamics its the industry std here a great tuning tool. I bought the Dyno Dynamics machine that was at PRI, it was at the time the first windows based machine with the bluetooth wireless hand held in the US. It has been a great dyno and I love it.
In a nutshell:

Dynojet will give you the highest "number".
Mustang and Dynojet will give you a lower number, but are better for tuning purposes.

Whatever you go with, it's best to stick with the same dyno, if there several to choose from in your area. They are most accurate unto themselves, whatever the actual hp figure they give you, and so are best used for comparing before and after hp results based on changes you make to your car. And if possible, back up the dyno results with track testing - it's more fun anyway!

Default Update,

According to the salesman regarding the headers, "They are due in tomorrow....I will get them out to a shipping place ASAP so we can get them on the way to you.

Sorry for the delay but tomorrow, they'll be on their way to a new home!"

So I assume they might be on my door step in a weeks time maximum, stay tuned folks.

I ordered them and they arrived, the dealership said we can install them. A few days later I get a call from one of the employees saying we cannot install them because there might be a chance when I get into an accident if god forbids, the airbag wont come out. So at the end of the day I got my money back but I really wish if those were installed in my car.

This whole drama started on the basis of a female who replaced her torn seatbelt on a R230 SL500 and the airbag didn't come out when she had an accident, so the dealers arent taking risks from what I know.

Sounds like BS. one of the other employees probably sold the belts to someone else, so he had to make up an excuse.

No I saw them and they said since they cant install it, I had to purchase them off them because it was a so-called "special order". I talked to the manager saying that I wont pay any penny, you cant install them its your responsibility as I am not here to settle your inventory costs.

Cyber's right, thats one of the stupidest things I've ever heard a dealer say it's complete and utter limp-wristed twaddle.

They are Mercedes-Benz genuine parts as fitted to a vehicle currently in production, the full instructions are on the WIS all they do is follow them.

The airbags have no dependency on the seat belts at all, the drivers airbag is always enabled and the passenger seat belt in use sensor is not located in the seat belt assembly, in fact you could remove both the seatbelts from the car completely and while the SRS light would come on the airbags both driver and passenger would still be fully functional in the event of an accident, all that's housed inside the seatbelt assembly is the tensioner system.

I don't know what happened to the SL but i suspect the car suffered an impact behind the nose on the wing area that will not trigger any of the airbags or suffered a rear end impact that again will not trigger the airbags.

They are feeling you a big pile of bull Mo mate, the belts don't even need special tools to install them hell they don't even need the DAS computer its 2 bolts thats all!
