Well I was trying to find out prices of DPE rims. I wanted black rims with a chrome lip and the price they estimated was around 3726 for a set of four and 90 more if you want the TPMS adaptor. If that helps you any, porschetobenz....

IMHO I like your currents rims better. However, I tend to prefer less spokes so i'm biased...

you should do the wheel in antratice and have them do the pinstripe in caspian blue, I'd rather get a lipless wheel similar to the track design or orientated wheels ie shown above.

Thanks Alroumi...I'll keep all that in mind once I decipher it. I've been leasing a car for the past decade so i've never looked into rims before.

But please dont do black wheels on a caspian blue SLK, its an elegant colour anthratice would add the flare but black would spoil the look or rich feel that you get from the caspian blue paintjob.

porschetobenz, anthracite is a medium grey color. In the photo posted by Ynot, think that the wheels are medium grey with the blue pinstripe to match the car color. The car would look very elegant instead of "ricey".

Ok.... thanks for your input Eddie...they are very beautiful rims. I'll start checking different companys out. the porsches rims have a very nice design. Maybe Ynot knows which company they are. I guess the way to go is 19" rims and 235/265 F&R tires?

Those are 19" Uberballer UB-4 Wheels, black centers with blue lips.

Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...QQcmdZViewItem

Anthracite is the way to go, it's more gray.

For example.

Thanks again Ynot..Gorgeous rims..as well made and beautiful as they are, $1750 per rim is a lot though, don't you think? by the time you get tires you/ve plunked down almost 9 grand. i'll have to think that over.....On a lot of pics I see of high end rims, I am surprised to not see security bolts.

Am on a "rim quest" myself...so many choices...I would be more than happy to take your current rims should you change

9 grand is a bit much to spend on wheels and tires combo, a good set (4) of 19" 3 piece custom forged wheels goes for $3200 -$3500, without tires, any thing more is a waste of money, IMHO.

If you decide to get dark/black wheels, do get the colored pin stripe like the Porsche pictured above. I personally think all black wheels looked weird because there is no seperation between the wheel and the tire. It almost looks like 4 spare tires. The stripe breaks it up and looks good.
