*drool*! i think that caspian blue looks really nice and special in a way, not many ppl get that color! in dark or at angle, it might look black but with light shining on it, it will be in blue! u haf got like... 2 color in one car! just beautiful!

haha, I feel the same way, him and dsb, I wasn't a fan before, thought the blue was too dark, I love caspian blue now.

I must thank the Administrator for taking note and "alarming" me that I am yet to post on this superb forum.

Firstly, let me say "thank you" for having me and secondly, this forum, from my browsing experience is all that I had expected - Real "Benz-lovers" with "engine-oil" for blood!

It is a pleasure to be a part of your community.

I do not drive a Benz but love the "three-pointed star" all the same. Some point in the future.....

In Europe it is called "Tansanite" Blue metallic. It's only disadvantage is that under certain lighting conditions it can appear to be a dull/flat blue almost bordering on black. With the correct lighting thrown on it, it takes on the irridescent color of the stone (gem) it is named after.

I like it. But it does'nt appear to be a very popular choice in the US especially on the S-Class.

I think the reason why people don't select it so much is because you don't get the full effect of the colour in the brochure. Also although it looks awesome on the SLK I'm not entirely sure whether or not it would look good on an S class?

If Caspian Blue is Tansanite what is the US name for Benitoite Blue?
