Oh, and the roof does creak, I'll get them to lubricate it too.

hmm... am I driving alroumi's car??

Took the car in today (Bradford) for its end of warrenty check. They did the MOT too.

Good news is new seals for me.

Bad news is ...

"Your car isn't compatable with the rain sensor"
"Why do you say that? Its already installed"
"Your car's data card from the factory says it isn't installed, so we can't retro fit it"
"I know people who have done it, the part is installed, I can even tell you the STAR code to need to use"
"Yes, we know the parts are there. I did ask the service guys to double check and they can't enable it if it wasn't factory fitted. Sorry"

grrr.....

I'll have to try the Leeds dealer, but that is the same dealership so they'll access my car's service record and see I've been refused once. They'll not want to contradict their colleagues, I guess they'll refuse again.

Firstly, am I right in that this can be retro fitted? There are plenty of UK people on the net who have already done this.

Second, what are the right buzzwords to persuade MBUK dealers to be sensible? Is there a page in their magic STAR manual that I can tell them to read?
