The wife and I just looked at ALL the pictures. Very nice (but there are a couple you should edit out

) I also noted your comment said HeilgenBlutt, I think, but I think it was HeiligenBlut (holy blood).
Your pictures reminded us of way back to 1972. We were returning from the Peace Corps in Ghana, West Africa and routed the plane trip home through Europe. Picked up a new VW camper there and shipped it back to US. After buying the van, we had $600 dollars left to our names. We intended to get teaching jobs in Bavarian and travel during vacations, but ended up refusing the job offered (the crummiest of the schools we interviewed at) and just touring around. We traveled 12,000 miles in 3 months on our $600! Didn't stay in such nice hotels as you

Although the campsites were really quite nice. Came home with $75 dollars to our name and the van which we eventually put 110,000 miles on.
I remember camping at Grindelwald. The showers there were sort of open air affairs. The kind where you can see people's feet and faces, but the rest, thank goodness, was screened from view. And it was COLD! You had to use tokens to fire up the gas water heater and I didn't have enough. Brrr!!!
We enjoyed Neuschwanstein and I was expecting more pictures from you there. All the driving in the Alps was fun, but not as much fun in the stick shift van as it would be in the SLK.
Maybe our NEXT SLK will be a European Delivery.
Thanks for sharing.
