None of the polls answers fit for me. I definitely watch how i drive more in traffic with the higher gas, but when the roads are clear, i still step on it...as evidenced by my ticket for 94+ mph on the freeway the other day...
i pay more for tickets and insurance than for gas...so that's still my primary concern.
BTW, my SLK 55 can get me about 19 mpgs... CLK 500 gets me about 17...and my minivan with handicap ramp and lowered floor is at about 12 mpg. For me the bigger engine in the SLK lets me cruise more efficiently at high speed so it ends up saving me money in the long run since i put a lot of highway miles in. |
