Dan:
Again, don't push it on your recovery. Take it easy for even longer than the doctors suggest. I should know.
At the first of May, I was hit by a viral brain disease, plus viral pneumonia, plus resulting heart irregularities, and was in the hospital for a week. I don't remember much about it. They tell me that I just about checked out to that big SLR garage in the sky. They told me to go home and stay pretty much in bed for a month. Well, two weeks after my release, there was this big Mercedes Benz Club meet at a lake about 150 miles from here, and of course I just had to go. Then a few days after that, it was time to plant my summer flowers in my flower beds, as I have always done. I bought 100 flower plants. On my 15th plant, I pulled my back out because of my weak condition. Then, the very next weekend I had promised my daughters who are in their mid 30s and live 225 miles away that I would visit them, so I did via car trip. As a result of not following "doctors orders" it is early July now and my back stopped killing me only a few days ago. And I am just now starting to remember where I left my car keys.
This is not about me, but it is about you. My example is only supplied to convey what happens when one does not take the rest and recuperation needed. Don't worry about those of us on this board. We can get our SLK specific advice from others while you get well. We may even have to pay for it, but that's fine -- as we had the money to buy an SLK we can afford it.

What we cannot afford is for you not to get well as quickly as medically possible.
So concentrate on resting and doing nothing. You will find that it is actually fun!
