Thanks for the replies. Yes that is one AMAZING drive, one of the best in the entire continental US if you ask me. Really the west coast in general is just awesome until you get to los angeles (no offense intended to LA natives, just a scenery thing).

I may look into converting the side markers myself then if that's what it is, although if there is a screw obstruction in the 350 like the 55, then I won't be doing it and will hire out. I'd hate to snarf something up on her. For some reason I thought I saw an '09 on the lot that already had clear side markers... could be mistaken.

Living in south central texas I do have one fortunate luxury, plenty of days in the 60s to low 80s with clear skies even during december, january, and febuary. While the hill country isn't as gorgeous as the west coast, it certainly has its charms and share of vistas if you know where to look. I've already planned on calling in sick my 1st work day after taking delivery haha. Pics will be forthcoming right on the tail of my 1st drive or 2 I'm sure.
