Clear front side maker lights replace the USA version factory amber lenses. Most here prefer the clear look. They're inexpensive and are fairly easy to install on an 2008 and earlier SLKs. Jbanks15 found his 2009 SLK 55 to be more difficult with the obstruction of one screw. Not sure if that's true with the 2009 SLK 350. I've never seen the clear protective film, can't comment pro or con. It's applied aftermarket. Personally, don't think I would be interested. Regardless where you live, enjoy your new SLK (top down) as often as possible.
