Brent, sometime back I installed the Parrot CK3000 Evolution and had the mic on the console.

Just last week I rerouted the parrot mic (minus the housing) to the factory mic housing next to the garage door opener. It's the exact mic that is in the OEM MB mic, so it was an easy fit. And the sound is much better than having the mic mounted to the console because it doesn't pickup all the road and body noise.

The Parrot is Bluetooth. I have the control mounted next to the ignition and the "brains" mounted next to the amp under the pass. footboard.
