did you order the Universal Media Interface as option ? was it part of a package maybe ?
In my glovebox, there is no Aux-in female plug. Instead there is special female plug. I had to buy separately as accessory a set of three cables : one with the corresponding male plug on one end and an iPod male plug on the other, one ditto but with a USB female plug, and the last one ditto but with a female Aux-in plug. I can get the MB parts number if interested...
From then on, it's plug and play.
