The MB calibrated dipstick was ordered via parts department and delivered in 24 hours from their parts depot in Texas. (I was fortunate that they would even sell me an MB shop tool)

I don't know if it's standard practice to use the MB claibrated dipstick or not with each oil change procedure. I believe engine oil is delivered via bulk through a calibrated dial attached to an overhead hose.

For now, I'm content with using the service menu on the instrument cluster for checking oil level. Oil level hasn't changed for the last several months everytime I checked.
