I have the KN installed for a year in my SLK without problems.
Etyu is right about the oiling. If you are going to 'recharge' it, make sure you don't overdo it, I had that expensive lesson on my C43. I would just get new filters and not try to recharge it all together.
I have the SLK280 and my consumption has always been 12L/100km from the factory. I am starting to believe these engines are not created equal, my friend got the same car with me (ordered on the same day) and when I drive her car, it is around 9.9L/100km. This is very very strange. Also my 280 is faster. |
