My previous used car came with a few scratches and paint chips. I have touched up small chips with no problems. The Lanka blob remover works great on smaller chips, but larger chips and scratches needed painting, then wet sanding with 2000 grit sandpaper, then polishing with compound. After I was done, nobody could tell there were chips on our previous car.
I'm waiting for a nice weekend before trying to touch up our SLK. The MB dealer touch up kit comes with a bottle of the color and a clear coat. |
