I remember seeing the installation instructions on the Windrestrictor, I think they use an existing mounting thread on the car, you just have to remove something first, you should not have to drill anything.

As for the rear view clearance, I am shorter than you and have the seat adjusted to may be 50% of the max height, not only clearance is fine, I can see quite a bit of the read deck of the car. Have you tried adjusting the seat height with the OEM windscreen and see if it works any better?
