It is a bit of an awkward procedure, but not one in which any clips need be broken. I don't know about you, but I always have a bit of a problem in "forcing" plastic bits, because you never know if you are "forcing" them correctly, or at what point they will break.
I noted that my "Greens" said they were for C 320s too, and I've got one that's 4 1/2 years old with no air filter change. If it is as dirty in the air box there as I suspect after seeing the ones on the 3 month old SLK, I need to change those and clean the boxes too. I figured out how to get the front part of the plastic cover off, and the "air tubes" too, but haven't figured out how to get the rear part of the plastic cover off.
