No, what the OP is saying is that the 350 had superior cornering and braking ability over the Boxter S -- not 0 to 60 acceleration.
And if it were a matter of acceleration, we have to assume that the Boxter S driver knew how to maximize his/her 6 speed manual. With the 7 speed auto, it's easy. Just hold the shifter to the left (on a left hand steering car) for a second, and floor it. It will shift at or near red line. With a six speed manual, it takes no small bit of skill to get all the engine has to offer. One missed, delayed, or mis-timed shift and you are dead -- even against a theoretically slower car. |
