The clips for a roof rack had to be ordered as a option (code 726) when the car was new.
In German the description was: "Vorrüstung Trägersystem mit geänderter A-Säulenabdeckung" 726
In En

h: " Prepared for roof rack with changed A-pillar cover" 726
I don't know if it can be retrofitted
