Well, I was in CA by the coast last weekend. My 280 felt more like a 350 would in Vegas. No delay off the line and between shifts. So a 350 Z (maybe an 05 /06) came alongside at the traffic lights. I could see was raring to go. 1st gear off the line left him behind, and never caught up although I wasn't pulling away any more either. I'd say even. Next light was a nod and wave. So I think it all depends. Had I been in 2nd he would have probably pulled me. That 1st gear is pretty darn good even in a 280,(well, at sea level anyway). |
