It's also a comfort to me that a MAF (as a part) from Mercedes Benz Norway costs 547€  | I saw what German Star is offering, and I believe it is the same insert that comes in the original MB housing. Both are manufactured by Bosch. I'll give them a call later to verify.
But you are right. In this case, the original is better.
