Hello Dan.

This may be premature, but it might help those who want to retrofit their 2008 SLK 55 brake system to the 2007, or those who want to upgrade to '05-'07 SLK 55 specs.

What parts are needed and what would the part numbers be? (I've enclosed P/N from Mercedes Benz Fast Moving parts e catalog, don't know if they're correct or not) Are the following all that is needed? Any other hardware needed?

FRONT BRAKES:
1. Brake discs (rotors), front, one pair, perforated and ventilated. (P/N 171-421-01-12)

2. Brake caliper, left front- 13.4" AMG 6-piston fixed. (P/N 003-420-67-83)

3. Brake caliper, right front - 13.4" AMG 6-piston fixed. (P/N 003-420-68-83)

4. Brake pad set, front. (P/N 004-420-50-20)
Do we need 2 sets of brake pads? One set for the left and another for the right?

REAR BRAKES:
5. Brake discs (rotors), rear, one pair, perforated and ventilated. (P/N 171-423-02-12)

6. Brake caliper, left rear - 13.0" AMG 4-piston fixed. (P/N 003-420-29-83)

7. Brake caliper, right rear - 13.0" AMG 4-piston fixed. (P/N 003-420-30-83)

8. Brake pad set, rear. (P/N 004-420-49-20)
Do we need 2 sets of brake pads? One for the left and another for the right?

I'll PM the VIN just to make sure.
