Yeah I think if you have to get a new key now they only have the new chrome clad ones. My buttons were starting to crack on the one I use everyday and they replaced it under warranty. Said it was usually caused by women with the fingernails but that didn't seem like it would be an cause for me. Anyway now I have a 3lb key but it is new and shiney and more impressive to your friends but I don't feel it contours to your hand like the old one. Think this was covered in another thread so carry on.

I hope the freezer trick works for you.
