Driving an SLK in the pouring rain is a thrilling experience providing you are on a motorway. Last year, I was caught in a sudden thunderstorm on the motorway and I kept driving carefree through heavy rain for over half an hour with the top down. At one point, I had to stop and put the roof back on because a few raindrops started to fall on my lap from the upper front part of the side window but nothing major, really. The dashboard, the seats and the mid-section of the cabin remained bone-dry. |
