I should mention that I believe my overall weight of my 19" wheels with wider-than-stock tires weighs slightly more than the 18" stock setup. That said, I still decided to do it. I should mention that I don't feel the small increase in weight is a big detriment on the street. This is how I see it...

Since weight and performance were the only drawbacks, I decided to keep the stocks and put some softer compounds on them. That way, I have a dedicated set for the track, etc. BTW, DPE now makes true 3-piece wheels but I'm not sure about the cost or weight. |
