Is your 300SL a stick? They were the last available with a manual in the USA for SL's.

The cover still looks nice, as long as it gets the job done.
Black is wonderful, especailly when going out at night. However, it's best kept to a fun car and not a daily driver if you're as picky as I am. Sometimes the Red can be high maintenance, as it really is a dark color. Silver is the best for least work and worry.
Alroumi has the right idea, have someone else detail your black car!
I thought Purple was the "Royal" color, or is that only in the UK?
PS: Alroumi, I am intrigued by the interior door panel shot. Can you show us some more pics of your interior when you get back?
