HRE Comp C21 was quoted to me by the UK supplier as 8.5 kg(19lbs) for 8.5 X 19 and 9.0kg(20lbs) for 9.5 X 19.
These are the lightest I have found up to now.
I-forge told me mid/late 20lbs.
Carlsson Ultralight and HRE Comp cost `about` the same.
These are all expensive rims.
Dread to think what Magnesium or Carbon cost.
I am still trying to sort out in my mind if I want under 10kg a rim for alot of dough or if I can live with 12-13kg for about half the price.
Just out of interest does anyone have the complete weight of wheel and tyre for say AMG III 7.5/8.5 X 18 with 225/245 18 tyres versus lightweights HRE/Carlsson/Renntech with 8.5/9.5 X 19 with the 225/255 19 tyres?
Is it realistic to expect a lightweight 19 inch combo to weigh less than the standard 18 inch AMG set up?
