But I like the design of those rims.
And both rims, V8SLK's and lontong's, are drop-centre rims or how are they called?
@lontong: What's the make? I don't know "b4". |
Probably the difference is a 1 piece wheels or monoblock wheels vs. 2-3pc wheel. A 3pc wheel typically has a "lip" which is formed from the way the wheel is assembled with a face and then a front and rear half of the rim. The front half forms the lip and is generally polished. Some wheels have a step in the lip and then there are ones that are flat like V8SLKs. I am probably going a little too deep but anyway the flat lip is called a reverse or full reverse.
Here is a pic of some rims I bought a while back. This is a NON full reverse. Sorry for the cigarettes, they're not mine, but it was the only good pic I could find.
In this pic yu can see how the front and back half of the rim is put together and sealed. You can see how the one straight on and the one on the right have different lip sizes.
Ok end highjack. Sorry, seems like I have been doing that a lot later and everyone on here probably knows this stuff anyway. Hmm maybe we need to have a wheel tech thread.
Those are 18x9+37 and 18x10+24 but wrong bolt pattern for the slk.
