We all know the Crossfire was built on the chassis of the R170, but what about the Dodge Demon?

Some say the car is ready for production, others say it will not be produced. If it's ready for production, I think they would be using the R170 chassis from the Crossfire assembly. Do any of you guys know if this is the truth?

I wonder if Benz will be sore about the Chrysler loss and cut off, or make really expensive, all benz developed parts for the Crossfire, 300 etc.

I for one hope they do not make the Demon for two reasons. One, the ass is ugly. Really ugly. Two, no more Chrysler's on the R170 chassis messing with resale value of first generation SLK owners.

I like "First Generation" or "Original" as a descriptor instead of R170.
