Products like this sit on the line between the pedal and the ECU and if we say the first 5% of travel is "mushy" this product watches for anything in this range and tells the ECU your actually applying 6% throttle so it responds instantly this gives the feel of better response but also makes for very hard driving when using your car in traffic situations |
Forgive the brash American....
Mom taught me that the accelerator "needed to be treated like a lady, gently pushed and adjusted."
I'm gay, I just stomp on the bitch. Never had a problem with getting abrupt acceleration out of the car when I wanted it.
In the 1980's GM increased throttle linkage to do that to make their cars feel faster then they really were. I guess I do not understand why you want to "Cutlass Calais" your SLK when my size 9-EEEE has no problem going from passanger pleasing cruising to rear tread assasination (and some modes between.)
It just seems dicey interfering with the car's systems for something so minor. It's not like getting a flooding rain inside the car because you can't get stopped to get the roof up so you get a roof module.
To each their own, however.
