 New type of KW coilover kit for the R171
KW has now according to CHROMETEC a new type of coilover kit for the SLK R171 available.
The difference to the KW kit type 3 which I have is that both front and rear dampers now are true coilovers instead of rear spring located beside the damper as the original setup. The dampers have now two springs each instead of just one. A smaller softer spring to make slow driving more pleasant, then a stiffer spring to handle harder driving. Both springs are made in smaller diameter than my type 3 kit which allows wider wheels/more lowering than before.
