There is door savers on both walls and now we are getting a laser light for the depth stop guage.
The shower --- if we didn't get your "transporter friend "--- should be Friday or Sat | I use a low tech method of yellow foam ball(s) hanging from the ceiling and connected to the top edge of the garage door with pulleys and fishing line. When the garage door is opened, the foam ball descends and marks the exact spot to stop (i've adjusted it so that as soon as the windshield touches it, the spot is the correct place). When the garage door closes, the foam ball moves upward toward the ceiling and is out of the way.
Gene, I may be passing by Elk Grove on the 5 freeway when my daughter moves to Sacramento in a few weeks. We're actually going to be at the Sacramento area this weekend to look at places to rent (using the minivan ). I can draw a diagram and send it to you if you so desire. Cost is probably less than $2 USD.
