My next car won't be replacing the SLK, it will be replacing the E320. Right now I'm looking for a 64-66 or 66-68 Mustang fastback in original but fully restored condition (i.e. with no bling bling mods), no rust, a good colour, 289 V8 or bigger, and some important options (disc brakes, power brakes, power steering). There aren't so many to choose from in the UK so it may take a while to find the right car. Given the weak dollar, importing from the US might be an option too. If I find one, then the SLK will become my daily driver - at the moment it's about 50:50 between the SLK and E class. |
