i have a similar story to you..well kind of/ i made the mistake of test driving a 55, back when i owned a 350. my car never felt the same again. i just wasn't satisfied with my car anymore. i took me less then a week to make my decision . i traded in my 5 month old 07 slk350 for my 07 slk55. oh yes it did hurt my wallet..alot but i have not once regreted this decision since buying my slk55. you are not out of your mind. or maybe we're both out of our minds, but it doesn't matter... its a matter of having something that can satisfy your needs.
0-60 in 4.3 seconds : indescribable. and yes this number is achievable in stock form. and don't get me started on the exhaust note. good luck in making your decision.
