Real life I am with you about getting every penny out from your car and its good to use the ca for 10-15 years especially if its clean and maintained well.
Regarding Ferrari's and exotic's:
I used to love Ferrari's as my Father had a Gold F355 GTS F1 with Tubi exhaust system, however he sold it after 2-3 years of ownership and it had very low mileage. However he didnt lose that much but the money was invested properly in stocks.
However I did a good decision to get a SLK55 AMG, There are more F430's here than my SLK55 and its a good thing.
By owning an AMG I was very happy but then started thinking about exotic's again, I had a ride in a Gallardo Spyder and Honestly I used to hate the Coupe' but the Spyder was very nice. unfortunatley its startting price is quiet steep and once you fiddle with the options it gets out of hand with the carbonfiber , deviated stitching and rear camera.
Now adays its not necessary to buy a Ferrari or Lamborghini as there are other cars that are nearly as fast such as the BMW M6, 911 Turbo, Corvette Z06. In addition the F430 does not look as good as the older Ferrari's like the 355 , Testarossa.
I just would like Ferrari to go back to its amazing roots and give us a new 355 or testarossa or even Maranello. My uncle has the 599 GTB Fiorano and I am just not impressed with it.
