AMGitis Yes, many of us know the feeling. There is a cure, even if it is expensive. If you can afford it, just do it. The AMG should retain it's value over time and will probably become a collector's car in 20 years or so. The 350?, well maybe, but probably not. I'm planning to keep my SLK 55 in perfect shape forever. I drive it just about everyday and it has about 10400 miles on it in 20months time. I'm 54 years old. I'll be buying a C63 AMG in a year or so. Between the two AMGs I expect to get 25-30 more years of luxury, high-performance driving out of them. I've always kept my cars for 10-15 years and have steadily traded up into nicer cars. About the only car I would consider selling my 55 for would be a SL AMG model, when I retire and want to do more, longer road trips. |
