 Timeport Phone Upgrade
I recently replaced the old Timeport phone setup in my 2001 SKL with the v60 bluetooth module. The dealer said it couldn't be done but that was incorrect. I had to replace the PSE in the trunk and the cradle in the console. It cost me about $350 for the PSE and the cradle plus another $300 for the actual puck. The system works good, not as great as the old Timeport, but good. I have an unlocked GSM razr V3 and the phonebook downloads, voice quality is good at both ends, and I don't have to remember to take my phone with me when I leave the car..... it's already in my pocket! If you are thinking about the upgrade, it's well worth it for $650 of your hard earned cash and maybe an hour or two for the retrofit. |
