You should notice it working at higher volumes the way i test it is to slow to a crawl turn the volume up then accelerate and listen to the increases they are noticeable if you listen close.

It might be worth checking yours as they are prone to failure the option some people go for it to have the Mic disconnected and another installed in the foot-well the auto-increase still works but there is less wind-noise so it is more efficient at speed
