Mainly, because I only use the changer if I'm traveling and I could load 6 disc in it in the trunk with no problem. It would be nice to have the glove box for my wife to put items in (It's a wife thing...) and after 31 yrs. with the same beautiful woman, I try to keep her happy. (She is the one that talked me into buying the SLK) She calls it my Mid-Life crisis car. I also didn't know it was optical fiber, I thought I could just solder in wire extentions and re-plug it in. Now I'll have to give it a long hard look.
