The K&N's are the cheaper option and we all know they are of high quality but and please correct me if i am wrong don't you oil the K&N's and the green filters are more like stock just drop them in or do you oil then also?
The only thing that concerns me a little is the Air Flow sensor and oil i have seen lots of cars with oil gunking up the sensor and putting the car in limp mode general dirt the odd bit of sand or whatever is not great but since it passes straight past the sensor its rare damage is done but oil sticks to it is that still and issue with the K&N filters or is that largely taken care of now?
While the green filters do seem to cost more i think i would rather buy them and avoid the oil situation unless of course they are oiled also then i would go for then K&N's cause of the price i just don't want to spend $100 on filters and $250 on a sensor.
