The LSD is vital if you plan on driving the car seriously, not a world of change i don't think but just enough to make it worth the cash.
The price will depend very much on the mood of the dealership as i have said before Brabus don't have price lists for main components you have to grit your teeth and push on with it if you want one just tell yourself the benefit will outweigh the cost.
However unless you track your car or drive it like a rocket in the twisties it's not something worth considering, the difference in acceleration time is practically non existent if you get a proper launch the standard 55 does not need an LSD to get going without smoke it can do that already and if you get a bad launch the LSD will be no help it cant do anything if both wheels are spinning like they would be from a mistake.
Its only needed if you have considerably more horsepower than stock or you push your car to its limits on the track/road and then it becomes invaluable.
