The sensor is real temperamental so this warning can be taken with a pinch of salt normally if you check the level afterward using the cluster it will say level OK.

The chances of the engine using the amount of oil required to trip the warning are slim to none but as i say it does appear for no reason most of the time.

The dipstick tube for the 55 is under the red cap but need an extra long MB one to fit down into the sump, the tranny does not have one.
