Keep in mind if you're going to use the OE deck/amplifier you'll need to find 2 ohm speakers. I found this out the hard way. I installed a couple Blaupunkts in the doors I had left over from the last tour to Germany, the sound was awful. I quickly realized it was because of the impedance mismatch.
2 ohm speakers are hard to find outside of OE Bose. IMHO, the system sounds great just as it is with or without the top down.
