It sounds to me like there is more serious damage than has been fixed yes mate.

The steering wheel can be adjusted slightly but only by one notch otherwise your turn signals wont function correctly but the wheel is really easy to get 100% centered because it has markers inside so i think the rack could be damaged.

Its not unheard of in situations like this to have the whole steering system replaced i know you don't want to hear that but its true a lot of force is put into the system that it is not designed to deal with and things go pear shaped very fast.

As i say i would expect damage to the steering rack itself here.
