I post on a lot of car forums. Most of them are full of kids and other posers who don't even own the vehicles they are pontificating about. This site is different. You guys are the real deal. You are mature, honest and polite. I want to thank you all for that.

I intend on spending more time here. I hope that I will continue to be welcome.

Take care.
Your perception of the members of this forum is due in part to the vehicle that is the namesake of the forum.

The SLK is fun and spirited, yet classy and pricey enough to keep most knuckleheads from owning.

IMHO, SLK owners have already made somewhat of a mark in life (age obviously NOT being a factor). I mean, a guy, or gal, with a spouse, 2 or 3 kids and a mortgage are going to be hard pressed to justify the purchase of a 2 seat convertible costing anywhere from $20-50K.

I hope I got my meaning across and didn't just sound like a stuck-up snob.

That being said, I just want to echo that we have a great group of like-minded folks here that I'm happy to be company to!
